While you may be owning your first Bentley or your tenth, maintaining your vehicle is a key factor in the vehicle ownership. To enjoy an elevated experience following your Bentley Dallas purchase, we asked our certified Bentley service expert Sharon Stanley what you as an owner can expect when servicing with the Avondale Premier Collection.
Whether you drive a Bentayga, Flying Spur, or Continental, Stanley recommends servicing your car at least once a year.

“Regardless of the year and model, Bentley service is recommended to be performed once a year or every 10,000 miles, whichever occurs first,” she said. “This will maintain the health of the vehicle and allows for a certified Bentley technician to perform a complimentary multipoint inspection on the vehicle to ensure all mechanical and electrical components are operating as designed!”

Today, more owners are commissioning their Bentley vehicles to have a true, bespoke experience. Once your inspiration is delivered, it is important to keep several unique features in mind.

“When it comes to custom builds, leather, and paint to be exact, the main thing I would stress importance on is preventative maintenance, Stanley said. “With this Texas heat, leather tends to dry out, crack and harden. It also causes the exterior color to appear dull and faded.”

Stanley recommends once service option to help preserve your Bentley exterior and interior custom conditions.

“I would recommend having our in-house detailer perform a full detail at least every 6 months or once a year,” she said. “This detail includes interior cleaning, vacuum, shampoo, leather treatment which includes conditioning of the leather. The exterior waxing, buffing and light ceramic compound we put on the vehicle will have the outside paint not only protected, but looking shiny and healthy for months!”

If you are considering a Bentley V8 or W12 commissioned vehicle, prospective owners should keep in mind of a few servicing differences.

“The maintenance requirements are similar except for the spark plug interval. On a v8 the spark plugs are recommended every 4 years or 40,000 miles and on a W12 the spark plugs are recommended every 3 years or 30,000 miles,” Stanley said.

When servicing a V8 vs W12, all other maintenance items are the same. While all Avondale Premier Collection Service clients are always recommended to schedule an appointment online, Bentley V8 drivers should anticipate at least a day worth of work on their vehicle maintenance.

“The time frame to perform service on a V8 does take slightly longer as we do have to get behind the intake to remove plugs,” she said. I would highly recommend a client schedule an appointment in advance, with a loaner vehicle, as the service does take a full day to complete.”
